How long does it take to print & ship my tea towels, tote bags or aprons?
The timeframe to custom print personalised cotton or linen tea towels, tote bags and aprons is 5 days plus shipping time. We use Express Post for orders under 50 units and Startrack Couriers for orders over 50 and ship Australia wide. Please note that October - November is peak printing season and the print time increases to 2 weeks plus shipping time.

What are the print options for tea towels, tote bags & aprons?
We offer screen printing and full colour digital printing on all of our cotton & linen tea towels, tote bags & aprons.
Screen printing is ideal for one to three colour designs or those that require a high level of vibrancy as the inks used in screen printing are applied as solid colours and are thicker than those used in digital printing.
Our screen printing ink is colourfast, fade resistant and long wearing. Choose from our standard range of colours or inquire about the use of PMS (Pantone Matching System) colours and metallic.
How does it work?
A negative of your design is ‘burned’ onto a silk screen which is stretched tightly over a metal frame. The screen is placed directly on the product and the ink is machine-squeegeed over the screen with the ink only slipping through the unprinted areas of the screen revealing the design on the product. The inks are then set using a heat tunnel, folded and packed.
This method can be used for single or multiple colours designs using our 100% environmentally friendly water based inks. They are 100% solvent, PVC and phthalate free with approval from the Soil Association of the UK, having successfully met the requirements of the Global Organic Textiles Standards (GOTS) for non-organic chemical inputs for use in organic textile processing.
Important Screen Print Instructions:
Provide all artwork in solid black and advise of any pantone colours.
If screen printing in more than 1 colour provide artwork in Spot Colour and confirm PMS colour choice.
Digital printing is the best option for intricate, detailed designs such as photographs, watercolour artworks or any designs with 5 or more colours.
If you only require a smaller print run there is minimal set-up involved in this style of printing therefore a lower minimum order quantity is possible.
How does it work?
Digital printing is a newer technology where artwork is processed through a computer and printed directly onto the product using eco-friendly ink (Oeki-Tex 100 certification). Using CMYK plus White a broad colour range and photographic results can be achieved.
What is the maximum print area for tea towels, tote bags & aprons?
Our large custom printed premium quality tea towels are 50cm x 70cm with a large print area of 40cm x 60cm (artwork can be portrait or landscape)
Sturdy organic cotton tote bags are 40cm x 45cm with a 10cm gusset and 55cm handles. The print area for custom printed tote bags is 30cm w x 34cm h
Personalised durable high quality organic cotton aprons are 85cm high x 70cm wide.
For Screening Printing Only Print Area: 58cm high, 20cm wide top of bib, 40cm wide at base
Screen Print Area: 58cm high, 20cm wide top of bib, 40cm wide at base
Digital Print Area: 20cm wide x 30cm high.

Where do you source your tea towels, tote bags & aprons?
As we are unable to find an Australian fabric mill, we source our fabrics from an ethical and sustainable supplier overseas.
All our cotton tea towels, tote bags & apron products are manufactured specifically for us from ethically grown 100% organic cotton in India in a GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified factory we have been working with for many years.
We also use 100% environmentally friendly inks – 100% solvent, PVC and phthalate free with approval from the Soil Association of the UK, having successfully met the requirements of GOTS for non-organic chemical inputs for use in organic textile processing.
All of our items are designed, printed and shipped in Australia.
How do I wash and take care of my products?
Caring for your custom printed high quality cotton & linen tea towels, tote bags & aprons
Unfold before washing to prevent fold lines.
Cold wash.
Dry is shade - do not tumble dry.
Iron on reverse side of printing.
What colours can we screen print in?
To print on our custom personalised tea towels, tote bags & aprons we have 13 standard colours in our screen printing range. If you provide us your specific PMS colour we can print to match your brand or business style guide. Our screen printing ink is also available in metallic.
There is a minimum order for 50 units on all screen printing designs.
We also offer full-colour digital printing. This is best for 3 or more colours and does not have a minimum order quantity.
What format do you require for provided artwork?
Please supply your artwork for your custom printed tea towels, tote bags and aprons in one of the below formats.
We can accept your artwork as high resolution PDF, JPEG or specified adobe formats. Please check out Artwork Specifications. Alternatively you can Design Your Own or upload your artwork and pay via our Shop.
What sort of design can we do?
The possibilities are endless for printing on our high quality organic cotton & linen tea towels, tote bags & aprons. We offer full-colour digital printing for colourful artworks or photographs as well as single or multiple colour screen printing for more graphic or text designs. Please just check our Artwork Specifications for Print Ready Artwork or feel free to chat to our experienced designers about what is possible.We can create a custom design for you for a design fee of $97.50. Our designers love to help create unique designs that can be as creative or as straightforward as you like.
Can you send me a sample?
Absolutely. We can send you a cotton tea towel, bag or apron sample free of charge. Just let us know what style of design you are after – screen printed or full colour digital.
We can also include fabric swatches of our premium linen and linen-blend tea towel options.

All of our cotton tea towels, tote bags & aprons products are manufactured specifically for us from ethically grown 100% organic cotton in a GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified factory we have been working with for many years. Our sustainable tea towels, bags and aprons help reduce the waste produced by plastic bags and paper towels. We use premium quality heavy weight cotton so our products will stand the test of time for many years.
Our screen printing inks are use 100% environmentally friendly, 100% solvent, PVC and phthalate free with approval from the Soil Association, having successfully met the requirements of the Global Organic Textiles Standards for non-organic chemical inputs for use in organic textile processing. Eco-friendly ink is also used for our colour prints in our industrial printer to give worldwide Oeki-Tex 100 certification which is globally accepted for infant and baby wear.
We strive to ensure that our business minimises its impact on the environment:
- From a business perspective, we use an internal paperless system, processing as much as we can electronically.
- From a product perspective, our tea towels are eco-friendly, long-lasting, practical everyday items.
- From a procurement perspective, we purchase from local suppliers where possible. If stock is imported, we’ve physically assessed the factories to ensure ethical practice.
- From an environmental perspective, we actively recycle and re-use marketing materials, shipping boxes, paper and cartridges.
We use eco-friendly recycled mailers to send out all our info packs.
We donate monthly to the Smith Family and Surf Lifesaving and are actively involved in local environmental projects, participating in community tree planting projects and beach clean ups.
